Strong Central policy to tackle terrorism needed: Modi
Jamnagar, Nov 26 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today advocated the need for a strong Central policy to tackle terrorism ''as several of our jawans and innocent people have lost their lives battling the terrorists.'' ''How long can we allow this to continue?'' Mr Modi said while dedicating the 'Raksha Shakti Circle' here at the Lakhote Lake to the people of Jamnagar.
''Feelings of the people against terrorism should not be ignored and tough measures should be initiated to tackle terrorism from across the border,'' he said.
Thanks to the joint efforts of Jamnagar Municipal Corporation and INS Valsura Navy Station here, a gun was installed at the circle, he added.
INS Valsura Commanding Officer Rakesh Bajaj, Minister of State for Labour and Employment Mulubhai Bera, Mayor Manharbhai Zala, City MLA Vasuben Trivedi and Jamangar Collector VP Patel were also present at the function.
