Rio urges Church to play proactive role for Naga unity

Kohima, Nov 26(UNI) Concerned over sporadic factional clashes in different parts of Nagaland, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has called upon the Churches to play a proactive role to bring unity among the Nagas.

Inaugurating a building in the Trinity Theological College at Thehekhu in Dimapur yesterday, Mr Rio said, that peace among the Naga should be an important agenda of the Church as ''hatred and revenge'' is taking toll on the community.

He said his government was trying to bring reconciliation among the Nagas through various means. ''If the Nagas want to become disciple of God, they should be disciplined, '' he said.
