Rains likely in NE states, TN, coastal Karnataka

Pune, Nov 26 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and interior Karnataka.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of southwest Rajasthan and in isolated parts of northeast Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in remaining parts of east Rajasthan and below normal in Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab Saurashtra and Kutch. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka and in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka and above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rayalaseema and in some parts of Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.
