Lok-adalats for quick disposal of cases: chief justice

Daltonganj, Nov 26 (UNI) Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Muthusamy Karpagyavinayagam today said that Lok Adalat has emerged as ray of hope for the people who had to face long court proceedings.

Mr Karpagyavinayagam, who was speaking in a function after inaugurating lok-adalat organised at district court here, said the concept of lok-adalats had helped in quick disposal of cases. It has also strenthened the belief of the common man.

He termed legal awareness camps were of great importance as it provided easy justice to backward people.

Stressing the need of practical education, he said the eucation which lacked features like social justice, humanity and harmony was of no use and urged the youths to come forward and make people aware about their rights.
