Kashmiri elders return from India tour

Srinagar, Nov 26 (UNI) A group of 30 senior citizens from Kashmir returned here today after a countrywide tour organised by the Army.

The elders visited the shrine of Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Chisti at Ajmer and various other historical places in Rajasthan.

A defence spokesman said the group was impressed by these historical places during the visit and were full of praise for the Army for organising such tours.

General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo) Brigadier Gajendra Nigam while welcoming senior citizens on their return said the rich sufi heritage of the Kashmir valley had always preached universal brotherhood and overall peace.

He asked the elders to act as ambassadors of goodwill, peace and harmony in the Kashmir valley.
