J'khand govt ready for talks with ultras: Koda

Ranchi, Nov 26 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today asserted that his government is always ready for talks with extremists to bring them into the mainstream of society.

Talking to mediapersons here Mr Koda said, ''negotiation was a solution to every problem and nothing could be sorted out through violence.'' Mr Koda said his government is ready for round of talks with the ultras to bring them in the main stream and urged the activists of the outits to give up violence.

He said ultras should find out an alternative and raise their voice as people's representative.

The government was functioning smoothly and a steering committee of UPA would be formed in a week after which a consensus would be made for the Common Minimum Programme (CMP), Mr Koda said.

Mr Koda said the goverment would review the boards and corporations and take actions against the poor performers.

The chief minister also said the erstwhile NDA government failed to bring anything from the Centre despite their frequent trips to New Delhi but he had assured to provide financial assistance under various schemes.
