Islamic Jihad claims Gaza rocket firings

GAZA, Nov 26 (Reuters) The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad today said it fired three rockets from Gaza at Israel after a truce aimed at ending months of bloodshed in the strip had taken effect.

Islamic Jihad said it would not agree to a ceasefire unless Israeli military activity also stopped in the occupied West Bank.

''There is no way to talk about a truce as long as aggression continues on any of our land,'' the group, one of the more influential Palestinian militant organisations, said in a statement.
