Interstate gang members nabbed

Bhopal, Nov 26 (UNI) With the arrest of five members of an interstate gang, the Madhya Pradesh Police has recovered more than a dozen four-wheelers.

''Gulam Haider was apprehended near the local Sanjay Nagar and an Alto, stolen from Surat, recovered today. The four others were recently nabbed. The vehicles belonged to Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Kingpin Umashankar Rai is absconding,'' Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh told reporters here.

Based on the accused's confession, an investigation is underway against a few agents and employees who are working at RTOs here, at Shahdol and other places and forged documents.
