India qualifies for main Hopman Cup in Australia

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) By virtue of the 2-0 lead over Chinese Taipei in the final of Asia Hopman Cup Tennis Championship here today India qualified for the main Hopman Cup to be held at Perth in Australia from December 30 to January 5.

In today's finals, Sania Mirza first gave India 1-0 lead by overpowering Chinese Taipei's I-Hsuan Hwanga 6-2, 6-4 and later Rohan Bopanna extended the lead to 2-0 with a fine win over Ti Chen 6-3,6-4.
