Cop, wife sustain severe burns
Dindori, MP, Nov 26 (UNI) The wife of an additional superintendent of police is in critical condition, with about 75 per cent burns, at a private hospital in Jabalpur where the couple were admitted after sustaining injuries last night at their residence here.
Sources at the local Mahakaushal Hospital said that Addl SP Ashish Meshram and Madhuri were first admitted there late last night. The officer was stated to be out of danger as he sustained about 25 per cent burns. Both his hands are burnt.
''The injuries were caused by a fire in the kitchen. Their two children were saved on account of being in another room. Further details are being gathered,'' Deputy Inspector-General (Balaghat Range) G Janardan said over telephone.
