Convene spl session to discuss five-year plan: AIADMK leader

Puducherry, Nov 26 (UNI) AIADMK state secretary and MLA A Anbazhagan today urged the administration to convene a one-day special session of the territorial assembly to discuss and formulate measures for the preparation of the eleventh five-year plan.

In a letter to Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Mr Anbazhagan pointed out that the government should have either elicited the views of all legislators on this issue or taken the political party leaders view having representation in the territorial assembly for the preparation of the five-year plan in a proper manner.

However, just for formality the government had organised a meeting of officials under the chairmanship of the Lt Governor, he charged.

He also urged Mr Rangasamy that not only the Dalit legislators, but also other legislators be invited for the meeting to discuss the welfare of the Adidravidars and to finalise the spending of funds under the special component plan.
