Chouhan confident of victory in Pandhana by-polls

Pandhana (MP), Nov 26: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the BJP's electoral success in Vidisha Lok Sabha and Malehra assembly by-elections will be followed by a huge-margin victory in December 4 assembly by-election to Pandhana constituency.

Talking to reporters after an election meeting during campaigning at Ahmednagar Chhaigaon in Pandhana constituency yesterday, Mr Chouhan said the Bharatiya Jan Shakti will not affect the BJP's chances.

''The BJP believes in doing its own work. The party has no competition with a particular individual or another party,'' he claimed.

On problem of roads and power, Mr Chouhan said adequate power was being supplied to meet agriculture-related needs, while construction of roads was progressing at a fast pace.

Regarding Governor Balram Jakhar expressing regarding no headway being made in the Indore pension scam, the Chief Minister said he regarded the Governor as someone who showed the way and his advice was taken seriously.
