Assam Rifles nab Myanmar rebel
Aizawl, Nov 26 (UNI) Assam Rifles jawans arrested an activists of Myanmar-based underground Khumi Patriotic Army (KPA) in Lawngtlai area along the Indo-Myanmar border last night, officials today said.
The forces arrested a KPA rebel with some arms, ammunition and incriminating documents in his possession near the border pillar number one in Lawngtlai district.
The arrested has been identified and handed over to Lawngtlai police, they added.
Assam Rifles looks after the south and western parts of Mizoram, bordering Myanmar and is engaged in border area management along with BSF.
