Villa and Morientes make Valencia squad to face Real
MADRID, Nov 25 (Reuters) Valencia strikers David Villa and Fernando Morientes were included in the squad for their team's game at home to Real Madrid tomorrow despite suffering minor injuries during the week.
Villa picked up a slight thigh strain during his side's 2-0 win at home to Olympiakos in the Champions League. Former Real Madrid striker Morientes suffered a similar problem in training.
Valencia will also be able to count on midfielders Ruben Baraja, Vicente and Mario Regueiro who have recently recovered from injury, as well as winger David Silva who was given a reprieve from the red card he received during last week's 3-0 defeat at Sevilla.
Real included centre-back Ivan Helguera in their squad despite doubts over his fitness, but striker Ronaldo and David Beckham were left out as they continue to receive treatment.
Ronaldo strained a ligament in his left knee in a King's Cup match earlier this month. Beckham has been unable to train with the team because an inflamed cartilage, also in the left knee.
Real are in third place in the table, three points behind leaders Barcelona and five clear of Valencia who are eighth.
