VHP to launch campaign for building temple at Ayodhya
Kanpur, Nov 25 (UNI) The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said it would soon launch a campaign for the construction of a grand temple at Ayodhya.
General Secretary of the VHP Praveen Togadia here said next year would be very vital as the parishad would decide the terms and conditions of the campaign in February.
Mr Togadia added a three-day Hindu conclave would be organised at Prayag in Allahabad which would be joined by a large number of 'Karyasevaks'.
The main purpose of the conclave would be to call upon the Hindus to come forward to kickstart the construction of a temple at the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
He said, ''The most stringent punishment ought to be given to Afzal Guru -- the prime accused in the Parliament attack case on December 13, 2001, as justice delayed is justice denied.'' ''Hindus are not against Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav but would only support his party if he launches some development programmes in their interest,'' he stated.
