Third batch of Naval Orientation Course passes out
Kannur, Kerala, Nov 25 (UNI) The passing out parade of the third batch of the Naval Orientation Course at INS Zamorin, Ezhimala was held here today.
Rear Admiral Rajendar Singh, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command was the Chief Guest.
Those who completed the four months training included 87 sub-lieutenants of the technical, logistics and education branches and five cadets selected for the technical branches.
In his address, Rear Admiral Rajendar Singh reminded the trainees of their important role in assimilating advanced technologies and exploiting them optimally.
The Ezhimala Naval Academy is scheduled to be ready by the end of 2008. Spread over 2,500 acre of land between the magnificent mount, this would be the biggest naval training establishment in Asia with state-of-the-art facilities.
