'Star Luminary' wins Bangalore 1000 Guineas

Bangalore, Nov 25 (UNI) Less fancied 'Star Luminary' (Colm O'Donoghue up) won the Bangalore 1000 Guineas (Grade II), the main event of the winter races held here today.

The winner is owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy and trained by S Ganapathy.

Trainer Ganapathy scored a treble and V Loknath had a brace, while Jockey B Prakash and Colm O'Donoghue had a brace of winners each.

Two favourites obliged punters in a card of nine events and a lone punter claimed jackpot pool sum of Rs 5,77,500.
