'Skats' to perform air shows in Bihar

Patna, Nov 25 (UNI) Bihar Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah today said the 'SKATS', popularly known as 'Suryakirans', will be performing air shows at Bihta and Patna on November 27 and November 28 respectively.

He said 'air show' were being organised in the state to make the youth aware of the air defence of the country and motivate them to join the IAF.

The 'Suryakirans', which would display the all facets of IAF, had showcased its skill in over 530 displays across the country.

He said the team had also participated in Bangalore Aero-India international shows in 1996, 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005.

The team had also displayed its skill at Colombo in March 2001 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Srilankan Air Force, he added.

'' All arrangements had been made for this mega event, which would take place under the supervision of Wing Commander S S P Rao, station commander, Air Force Station, Bihta,'' he stated.
