SGPC wants Sikh on Censor Board

Amritsar, Nov 25 (UNI) The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandik Committee (SGPC) today called for giving representation to Sikhs on the Film Censor Board of India, so as to prevent 'misrepresentation' of the community in feature films.

''Sikhs are often shown in poor light in films, distorting the image of the community'', a resolution passed in the general house of the SGPC here stated.

The resolution also called for giving representation to Sikhs on the NCERT board to prevent distortion of Sikh history and its Gurus.
