Roja adds glamour to TDP campaign in Bobbili

Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 25 (UNI) The Opposition TDP which is fighting to retain its Bobbili Lok Sabha seat in the ensuing by-election scheduled for December four is lending a touch of glamour to the campaign.

Film Heroine and TDP activist Roja, who unsuccessfully contested the Assembly seat from Chittoor District, has arrived here to campaign for the party for three days.

The by-poll was caused by the death of Mr K Paidithalli Naidu of the TDP who represented the constituency thrice.

While the TDP is fielding the leader's son Appala Naidu, the ruling Congress candidate is Botsa Jhansi, Zilla Parishad Chairperson and wife of Marketing Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.

Talking to newsmen, Roja said the result was a foregone conclusion and the TDP candidate was going to win the by-election with a handsome majority.

She said the good deeds of TDP candidate's father, the development works taken up during the TDP regime and ''misdeeds and misuse of power'' by the Marketing Minister were enough to ensure victory.

Roja said she chose to campaign from this constituency for her party as shooting of her first film was held here.
