Punjabi University dominate in inter-varsity cycling

Patiala, Nov 25 (UNI) Hosts Punjabi University, Patiala, continued its spectacular show in the ongoing All-India Intervarsity Cycling Championship here today.

After the impressive showing in the track events that concluded yesterday, the hosts dominated the road events both in the men's and women's sections on the penultimate day.

In the 50 kms team trial for men's, the Punjabi University team of Abhiskeh Rana, Manish Sawhney, Sarpreet Singh and Gursharndeep Singh clinched the gold. Bikaner University took the second spot while Panjab University, Chandigarh got the third position.

In the 25 km road event, Suman of Punjabi University clinched the gold, while her team mate Anita Rani securing the silver.At the third spot was Maninder Kaur of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
