Protest over Rajapakse visit; 140 DPI activists arrested

Puducherry, Nov 35 (UNI) As many as 140 activists of the Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) were arrested here when they staged an agitation in protest against the visit of Sri Lanka President Rajapakse to the country.

The agitation was staged in front of the Swadeshi Cotton Mill here.

Four DPI activists burnt Mr Rajapakse in effigy near Singaravelar statue here.
