Man rapes infant daughter

Jhansi, Nov 25 (UNI) A man allegedly raped his two-year-old daughter in Nawabad area here last night, police today said.

Shakil, who is an alcoholic and a resident of Nagariya Colony, took his daughter to a secluded spot and sexually assaulted her.

The accused was under the influence of liquor, when he committed the crime. His wife was not present in the house at that time.

Later, a case was registered by the victim's maternal relatives.

Meanwhile, the condition of the minor was stated critical and she was undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Shakil has been arrested.
