ISO award for Howrah loco shed

Kolkata, Nov 25 (UNI) The electric loco shed at Howrah of Eastern Railway was awarded ISO 9001:2000 certificate for its quality managment system at a function here today.

Eastern Railway General Manager S K Khurana received the certificate from Mr T K Banerjee, Regional Mnager of M/S Allied Boston Consultants India Pvt Ltd, New Delhi.

In his speech, the GM said the electricl loco shed, commissioned in 2001, was accommodating 75 electric locos.

Besides, electric locomotives of important long distance trains, including that of Rajdhani Express, were being maintained there.
