Irrigation, Forest Officials held for bribery

Hyderabad, Nov 25 (UNI) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped irrigation and forest officials when they accpeted bribe from the complainants in Prakasham and Vizianagaram Districts.

An official release said here the ACB personnel arrested Deputy Executive Engineer A Vijaya Paul and Assistant Engineer of Irrigation Department D Venkat Rao while they accepted bribe of Rs 15,000.

The two accused were arrested. They would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB Cases, Nellore.

In another case, the ACB caught Deputy Range Officer of Forest Department in Vizianagaram District V Siva Rama Krishna red handed in while accepting a bribe.

The tainted amount of Rs 4,000 was recovered from the accused.He would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam, it added.
