Iraq extends Baghdad curfew into Saturday
BAGHDAD, Nov 24 (Reuters) Iraqi authorities have extended a curfew imposed on Baghdad after a massive bomb attack so that vehicles will continue to be banned in city tomorrow, a Defence Ministry spokesman said today.
The curfew was declared after more than 200 people were killed in a coordinate series of bombings in the Shi'ite Sadr City stronghold yesterday. Today, gunmen attacked a Sunni enclave in the city, burning mosques, in an apparent reprisal.
