Inebriated cop caught in Tirumala Temple

Tirumala, Nov 25 (UNI) Despite a ban on liquor and tobacco products at Tirumala Hills, the abode of Sri Venkateswara, an armed reserve constable was taken into custody by the TTD Vigilance and Security Officials for allegedly entering the main temple complex in an inebriated condition.

The Vigilance officials caught M T Prakash as he was entering the temple through the restricted 'Maha Dwaram' last night, a TTD official said here today.

They also recovered cigarettes from his possession and sent him to Government Ruia Hospital where he tested proved positive for alcohol during medical check-up.
