IED recovered from ISI agent's house in Asom-WB border
Kokrajhar, Nov 25 (UNI) A powerful IED was recovered from the house of a suspected ISI agent by the Army on Asom-West Bengal border in this district of Asom today.
Commandant of Red Horns division Rajib Thakur informed here that the bomb was seized from the house of one Abdul Malik Talukdar in Hawriapat village no 2 under Gossaigaon police station.
The security personnel conducted a night-long raid on specific information and seized the explosive at 0430 hours.
A 3 kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered. However, Talukdar, suspected to have links with the ISI, managed to flee, the Commandant informed.
The bomb was later defused by the bomb disposal squad of the force.
