Haryana CM Hooda to visit China, Singapore
Chandigarh, Nov 25: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will pay a week-long visit to China and Singapore beginning tomorrow along with a high-level delegation.
The main objective of the China tour is to assess the successful implementation of the concept of special economic zones (SEZs), educational, industrial and agriculture environment prevailing in China, an official spokesman said today.
The Chief Minister would interact with the Chinese officials of Ministry of Education. He would also pay a visit to Tsinghua University and Economic and Technological Development Zone.
During the tour, he said, the delegation would try to understand how Mainland China had made accelerated progress by setting up a number of SEZs and had paved the way for industrial regeneration and revolution in the country, resulting in higher growth orbit.
After studying the entire concept of SEZs in China, the Haryana government would also try to adopt it in the state so that rapid industrialisation could be made possible in the state.
Mr Hooda would be accompanied by Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana, Industry Minister Lachhman Dass Arora, Minister of State for Tourism Kiran Chaudhary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M L Tayal, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Industries) P K Chaudhary and HSIDC MD Rajeev Arora.
