Gujarat bags two IT sector awards

Ahmedabad, Nov 25 (UNI) Gujarat has bagged two Computer Society of India (CSI)-Nihilent 2005-06 awards in the ''Best e-Governance State'' and the ''Best e-Governance Projects'' categories, according to an official release.

Gujarat has shared the ''Best e-Governance State'' award jointly with Karnataka.

Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest association of IT professionals in India with over 25,000 members on its rolls.

It has instituted a series of awards for recognising the contribtuion made in the field of e-governance, the release said.
