Governor lauds Centre for reformative steps

Shimla, Nov 25 (UNI) Lauding the Centre for launching reformative steps, Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje today said they had brought social and economic changes in the country.

Presiding over the valedictory function of 62nd All India Textile Conference on fostering textile growth in global scenarios at Chandigarh, he said a similar competitive approach adopted by the entrepreneurs and investment in research and value added products had increased interest for textile items among customers in the country and abroad.

Highlighting the textile scenario in the state, Mr Kokje said the government has provided various incentives to the entrepreneurs for the growth of textile industry.

He appreciated the presence of large number of entrepreneurs in the conference, which was attended by the delegates from Honkong, China and Belgium.

The Governor also expressed hope that deliberations in the Conference would go a long way in preparing the country's textile industry for improving its quality, variety and competitive prices.
