Four drunken men assault BJP corporator

Rajkot, Nov 25 (UNI) Four drunken persons allegedly attacked a BJP corporator and his mother at his residence at Mahatma Gandhi Plot area here last night.

Police today said the corporator, Anil Makwana, in a complaint, stated that four persons -- Kamlesh alias Kamo, Mahendra alias Dalo, Ganesh Shankar and Tushar Shankar -- had entered and ransacked his house in an inebriated condition. They then abused and assaulted him and his mother Sajjuben, resulting in injuries. They have been admitted to the civil hospital for treatment.

Kamlesh has been arrested, while search is on to nab the other three accused, police added.
