Cold winds make Rajasthan shiver

Jaipur, Nov 25 (UNI) Rajasthan is all set for a cold spell with temperatures falling by 4-5 degrees Celsius today following snowfall and rains in the higher reaches of northern India.

Pilani remained the coldest in the state today at 6.7 degrees Celsius, a further fall of two degrees from yesterday. However, Jaipur recorded 8.8 degrees Celsius, a sharp fall of 5 degrees, with cold winds adding to the winter woes.

Jaipurites have taken out the woollens for the season and are wearing warm clothes even during daytime, although the sun is bright.

According to the weather office, most districts of the state are experiencing the cold wave. Ganganagar recorded 7 degrees Celsius, Churu 7.7 degrees, Bikaner 9.2 and Udaipur 10.5, Barmer 10.7, Jodhpur 11, Jaisalmer 12, Ajmer 12.4 and Kota 15.8 degrees Celsius.

The weather office has predicted a dry spell and a further fall of temperature for the state capital over the next 24 hours.
