BSNL officials on a training at IIM-A: CMD
Ranchi, Nov 25 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) chairman cum managing director A K Sinha has decided to send the senior officials for a training programme at IIM-Ahmedabad to change their attitudinal behaviour.
Mr Sinha addressing at a workshop here on Balanced Business Scorecard yesterday said the training was necessary to transform BSNL into a Public Sector Unit from a monopolistic government agency.
He said the list of officers included General Managers, Deputy General Managers and Chief General Managers.
''The company has brought in huge changes during last six years in order to compete with the MNCs and has also bagged an international award for the purpose recently,'' he addded.
Mr Sinha said improvement in customer care activities and constructing a complete call data were the company's main focus now.
He also said the company had recently observed a huge growth in their number of customers adding last year it had provided 82 lakh connections with 75 lakhs mobile and seven lakh land-line connections.
