Woman, paramour sentenced to life imprisonment

Chhatarpur, MP, Nov 24 (UNI) A local court has sentenced a woman and her paramour to life imprisonment on the charge of killing her husband.

According to prosecution, Jagdish had lodged a complaint regarding his brother Darbari Patel's death under suspicious circumstances at Sailana village on the intervening night of January 21-22, 2004.

On investigation, it was revealed that Darbari's wife Maya and her paramour Hanumat Pal had fed him with poison and later strangulated him.

Additional Sessions Judge Ikbal Ahmed yesterday sentenced the accused to life imprisonment under section 302 and three years' imprisonment under section 201.
