Suspended JD(U) MLA denied bail

Patna, Nov 24 (UNI) Additional district and sessions judge Ram Pravesh Sharma today rejected a bail petition of former JD(U) legislator Narendra Kumar Pandey alias Sunil Pandey in connection with an extortion case.

Mr Pandey had been charged with demanding five per cent of the total contract money from a general manager of a company and had threatened to eliminate him in case of non-payment.

A case was registered against him at Budha colony police station in Patna. He is now lodged in Aurangabad jail in connection with another case of extortion.
