SR announces special train between Chennai Central and Patna

Chennai, Nov 24 (UNI) The Southern Railway (SR) today announced a special train between Chennai Central and Patna to clear the extra rush of passengers.

A SR release here said the Chennai Central-Patna Special would leave from here at 1030 hrs on November 26 and arrive Patna at 2330 hrs the next day.

Meanwhile, due to persistent demands from rail users, passenger associations and elected representatives of the public, Minister of State for Railways R Velu has ordered for stoppage of some trains at Unjalur for two minutes for a period of eight days from January six to 13 next year in connection with the 78th Aradhana Celebrations of Satguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal.

The Chennai Central-Nagercoil Weekly Express, Nagercoil-Chennai Central Weekly Express, Chennai Egmore-Coimbatore Express and Coimbatore-Chennai Egmore Express would halt at these stops.
