SMC to hold medical camp for 4.36 lakh students
Surat, Nov 24 (UNI) A medical camp to examine 4,36,000 students, organised by the City Primary Education Council, will begin on November 28 and continue till January 20 next year, SMC sources said.
In the camp students studying in various primary level schools would be examined for common diseases like anaemia, ear, nose and throat problems and eye ailments.
The campaign aims to eradicate these diseases from the student community at primary level and to spread awareness about such diseases.
As many as 40 medical teams will visit 795 schools in the Corporation area as part of the campaign, sources added.
