SCs/STs panel demands Roster Act to clear vacancies backlog

Ahmedabad, Nov 24 (UNI) National Commission for SCs and STs working chairman Fakir Vaghela has demanded that government should introduce Roster Act to clear the backlog in vacancies in government departments.

The Commission was on a two-day visit to the state. During its visit, the Commission reviewed the situation of SCs and STs in the 25 districts of the state.

The Commission has also demanded reservations for SCs and STs in the private sector, according to a statement here.
