Moscow, Nov 24: Russia has condemned a series of terrorist attacks in the Shia Sadr City district of Baghdad which left more than 150 people dead and about 300 wounded.

''Those behind this terrorist acts aim to worsen the situation in Iraq even further, hoping to thwart efforts to reach stability in the country and spreading fear, confrontation and hatred in Iraqi society,'' Kamynin said.
''The situation calls for real step toward national reconciliation and broad dialogue in the country,'' he noted.
The statement further urged the leaders of all ethnic and religious groups and political forces ''to demonstrate a high level of responsibility for the future of Iraq and combine efforts to bring back peace, security and stability to the country.''
