Pakistan condemns attack on Syed Ali Geelani

Islamabad, Nov 24: Pakistan today condemned the attack on the Chairman of Tahreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Jammu by assailants reportedly belonging to an extremist outfit.

''The attack, second in a year on the Chairman of Tahreek- e-Hurriyat Kashmir, is condemnable,'' foreign ministry spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam said in Islamabad.

She hoped that safety and security of Syed Ali Shah Geelani and all other Kashmiri leaders would be ensured.
