Package for micro, small units soon: Mahabir Prasad

New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) The Government will soon announce the package for promotion of micro and small enterprises, Minister for Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries Mahabir Prasad informed the Rajya Sabha today.

In a written reply to a query about financial help extended by the Centre to Madhya Pradesh, Mr Prasad said an amount of Rs 393 lakh would be released by the Centre during 2006-07 towards upgradation of eight Industrial Training Institutes in the state into centres of excellence under the Labour Ministry's scheme of upgradation of ITIs. Besides, the SSI Ministry runs the Indo German Tool Room at Indore and a workshop in the Branch Small Industris Service Institute at Gwalior to provide technical training, which too would receive the funding.
