Murthy assumes charge as DDG, PIB

Hyderabad, Nov 24 (UNI) Mr MVVS Murthy assumed charge as the Deputy Director General Media and Communications of the Press Information Bureau here.

He will be heading the South Central Region of PIB which includes offices at Bangalore and Vijayawada apart from the Hyderabad Regional Office.

Before taking charge as DDG, he was the Deputy Director General (Southern Region) of the Directorate of Field Publicity, Hyderabad.

He had held various prominent position in the Information and Broadcast media units both in Hyderabad and at New Delhi.

Mr Murthy is a 1984 batch officer of the Indian Information Service.
