HP prepares Rs 3,900 crore development plan for Shimla
Shimla, Nov 24 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has prepared Rs 3,900 crore City Development Plan for improving basic infrastructure within Shimla town, state Chief Secretary S S Parmar today said.
Under the Plan, existing infrastructure would be improved at bus terminals, besides constructing new parking places, underground tunnels and shopping complexes, he said, while presiding over a meeting of senior officers here.
Mr Parmar said developing new infrastructure in the town would require huge sum of money and urged the financial institutions to play an important role.
IIFCL Vice President N K Madan, while giving a detailed presentation of available schemes for improving the town's infrastructure on the occasion, said IIFCL had been created to provide long-term finance for building infrastructure in the country.
Besides developing infrastructure in the state, the participants also discussed the need for increasing hydel generation for which huge funds were required, he added.
