Hizbul ultra surrendered, teacher arrested for LeT link

Jammu, Nov 24 (UNI) A hardcore ultra of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) surrendered before security forces at Gund Banihal in Doda district while a teacher was arrested by police for his alleged link with Lashkar-e-Toiba in Rajouri district today.

The police have arrested choudhary Fazal Hussain, a government teacher in Pangai under Thana Mandi police station for his links with LeT outfit and his involvement in grenade attacks, sources said here. He was being interogated, sources added.

Police said the teacher was in touch with his relative Saifullah, a LeT Area Commander operating from Pakistan.

He was also involved in two grenade attacks in Pangai, after which he had gone underground, sources said.

In another incident, a Hizbul Mujahideen man Manzoor Khan alias Bilal son of Afzal Khan hailing from Gund Banihal surrendered before the police and 17 Rashtriya Rifles(RR).

Bilal handed over one AK 47 rifle, three AK magazines, 90 AK rounds, one grenade, one radio set, one stamp of HM outfit and one diary, official sources said.
