Dinesh Kumar to lead 12-member kabaddi team in Doha Games

New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) Dinesh Kumar has been named as captain of the Doha-bound 12-member side as Indian kabaddi team eyes its fifth consecutive gold medal in the Asian Games scheduled to get under way in the Qatar capital from December 1.

Rakesh Kumar will be the vice captain of the side being guided into the games by coach Balwan Singh, Amateur Kabaddi Federation president Janardan Singh Gehlot said.

The Indian team is currently undergoing rigourous training in Patiala and will leave for Doha on November 28.

The Kabaddi event is scheduled to be played from December 2 to December 7.

India has been winning golds ever since the sport was included in the Beijing edition of the Games in 1990.
