'Dengue cases on the wane in UP'
Lucknow, Nov 24 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Government today sought to pat its back, saying the effect of vector-borne dengue was fast declining in the state.
State Director (Communicable Disease) O P Pathak said there had recently been considerable decline in dengue cases.
''In the past 20 days, only 23 cases of the disease have come to light in UP and there has been no dengue death too,'' he informed.
Dr Pathak claimed all the government hospitals had adequate stock of medicines for the treatment of dengue.
''However, we will continue to monitor the situation for the time being,''he added.
