CPI(ML) says Nitish govt failed
Patna, Nov 24 (UNI) The CPI(ML) has released a report of ''failures of the Nitish Kumar governmment'' during its one-year rule.
The report issued by party's state secreatry Nand Kishore Prasad alleged the atrocities against weaker sections had increased during the NDA regime. It failed to fulfil its pre-poll promises as incidents of murder, rape, and kidnapping had increased.
The report issued to the press yesterday said the funds meant for welfare schemes were being misappropriated and interests of underprivileged sections were being ignored.' There was rampant corruption at the bureaucratic level while the government failed to initiate action against the errant officials'.
The party would stage a sit-in before state assembly on December 12 to protest against the rising crimes against women, it added.
