Cooperative employees stage agitation

Chennai, Nov 24 (UNI) Members of the Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur Districts Cooperative Employees Association, affiliated to CITU, staged a 'dharna' in support of their various demands here today.

The 'dharna' was led by Mr S S Muthukumar, State Vice-President of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Employees Federation.

The demands included regularisation of all employees working in the cooperative department for over 480 days without any conditions, 50 per cent of their dearness allowance to be added to the basic pay, loans to cooperative housing societies without hinderance and appointing pay commission for employees of Cooperative Weaving Societies.
