Cabinet reviews government's functioning

Itanagar, Nov 24: The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet in a bid to improve the work culture and bring about good governance has instructed all the departments to dispose off files expeditiously without delay.

A cabinet meeting held here recently while reviewing the functions of all the department had instructed that no file should be kept pending for more than seven working days, excluding only those involving policy issues, informed official sources here today.

The Cabinet further decided that district officers would not be called to the state capital for each and every matter as their absence from the district greatly hampers the developmental activities in their respective areas.

The cabinet had also urged all the ministries, departments and offices to make wide circulation of the laid down procedures for their effective implementation, sources added.
